Reach for Health: Reaching Early Adolescents Through Comprehensive Health Working with three schools in Brooklyn, New York, EDC is evaluating the effectiveness of classroom health instruction coupled with community youth service on reducing morbidity and mortality related to early and unprotected sex, violence, and substance use for African American and Hispanic youth living in poor urban neighborhoods. About 3,600 middle school students have participated in the project.
